Eden Again
Video Editing / Scripting

This interactive documentary, Eden Again, narrates the controversial stories of the Iraqi marshlands, which were once home to thousands of Marsh Arabs and many species of birds and fish. It also features rebels who fought against Saddam Hussein, the then-president of Iraq. To explore the affordances of interactive tools, I developed the documentary using Klynt, an interactive editing and publishing application, and Wix.
My Role includes video editing, Direction, Scriptwriting—narrative flow—research, Visual Brand Identity, logo design, UI design, and the overall look of the documentary in videos and on the website.
Recognition: Best Documentary Award | RMIT
The documentary is divided in four parts - History, People, Drying and Nature. The user can click on one of the part to watch videos which give detail information about what happened in struggling Marshes and how they are now.
I also made an interactive map which shows how over the period the geography changed in Marshes. User can move the curser over the 'year' and a full map of that year appears on the screen
